The focus this week has been a small walnut cabinet with one file drawer and two small storage drawers.
With a piston fit, these drawers glide perfectly. Totally old school here, no metal slides.
I’ve seen cases and drawers built like these before in a few antiques I’ve restored. Incredibly strong and the variable wood species (poplar drawer sides/oak secondary carcass wood) will reduce wood to wood wear.
